… And now you know

This is first and foremost a fan site.
That is why the site was created & published in the first place. Yes, there are “girlie” photos to supplement my game & event coverage, but that doesn’t take away from the validity of the site’s main purpose; to document my travels and experiences as I attend every home game & attempt to follow the Giants around the country (to the best of my budget!) Are you complaining? Find the fansite of an equally dedicated, but more inhibited fan. After all, its my damn website.

Here you will find me as I am, doing what makes me happy.
There was a point in my life where the Giants were the only thing that I felt I had and the only thing to make me happy, which explains the start of my extreme fanaticism. Although I had always been a fan, I didn’t become a so-called “superfan” until the ’06 season. Some people latch onto a partner, surrender to a vice, or delve into a hobby during the lower points of their life but I dedicated myself to NY football. (The good kind, not the Jets kind)

Many have questioned my motives, more & more so as time goes by, which in and of itself makes me laugh. No one was calling me a “fake fan” or a “publicity stunt” before the website gained any sort of noteriety…Yet the website had always existed. No one questions the motives of the male superfan who will strip down & paint himself blue yet I’m constantly interrogated, questioned & doubted. Stop and think about that for a moment, then realize that I’ve likely invested more time/energy/money & most importantly, more HEART into my team. Now think about that some more. I’ll give you a moment. All done? Moving on…

I’ve always considered myself a free spirit & a fun-loving person. In all honesty, how EVERYONE doesn’t go all out, dress up & get a little crazy for for football games doesn’t quite make sense to me. (A family-friendly kind of crazy, not the Eagles fan kind) To those who ask why I dress up, I ask WHY NOT? Its fun! It makes me happy. It’s what I look forward to at the end of every week during the season; my own little outlet to let loose. I never asked for sideline photographers to take my photo and I don’t seek out television cameras during the games, AU CONTRAIR. It seems the media looks for fans who embody whatever mood they’re trying to set for their news story or television broadcast. Does that offend you? Maybe you should be the one out there doing this instead. Does something about the whole weirdness of this website inspire you? Well, that’s the best compliment you could ever pay me. I hope to serve as an example for those who want to follow whatever it is that makes them happy, because that’s what this is all about…That’s what life is all about! Be yourself, however quirky, however “out-there” and however dressed up – or undressed - you may be! ;)

Am I a Giants historian?
No, nor do I claim to be, and no, I don’t want to be. Don’t get me wrong, I know more than the average fan, but to have to study & memorize stats from 1982 or to be able to recite things off of the top of my head that others 20 years my senior believe I “should” know would take the fun out of it…this should not feel like a job, that would defeat the purpose of it all.
Do I love the NY Giants?
YES, and no one can take that away from me. Ever.
Do I make money off of being a fan ?
No. Does ANY fan ? That’s a stupid notion.
Am I the “hottest” Giants fan ?
The media says that, NOT me. I could care less what strangers on the internet think of my physical appearance and I’m not out to become the “hottest” fan.
Do I do this for the attention ?
No, however, that’s not to say that I don’t welcome attention to my website. Who doesn’t hope their blog garners views, that’s the reason anyone publishes a site on the internet in the first place, from a card collector’s blog to fashion sites to…just about anything! Its exciting to share your little world with the rest of the world.

Right now I’ll rolling with the cards dealt to me and I’m in a much better place now than I was when I started the website. I’m blessed, grateful & humbled that people care enough to follow my adventures in being a Giants superfan and would like to thank the fellow fans who have supported me in supporting the greatest team in the National Football League,
the NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS.

From the piece:
“Maybe you’ve seen her on TV at a New York Giants football game. If you’re a season ticket holder, chances are you’ve run into her in the parking lot, tailgating before a home game. Or, maybe you have come across her pictures on her website, in the newspaper or inside magazines. But, not many people know who the real Reby Sky is, or the great lengths she goes to in order to cheer on her favorite team.”
